Labor Day Break
Took a mental break from my portfolio work for the Labor Day Holiday and made a painting for my next door neighbor. It’s his birthday today.
My neighbor has been working on his house for the past 5 years and has transformed it into a modern, spacious, gorgeous home. He’s installed a koi pond and small waterfall at his front entrance. His hard work and perseverance inspired me to make something for him handmade. I found a sketch of a koi scene and turned it into a painting: 8in x 10in, mixed media on canvas.
Productivity Tip: Adopt the "Micro-Goal Sprint" approach to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Today, break a complex task (e.g., preparing a project update or analyzing data) into three small, actionable steps that can each be completed in 10-15 minutes. Tackle one micro-goal at a time, taking a brief 2-minute break between each to reset. This method keeps you moving forward without feeling overwhelmed, allowing you to chip away at big priorities while navigating a hectic schedule.
